Terms of use

Last updated 8 September 2026

1. The agreement

These terms are between you and TidyTake. By creating an account or using TidyTake you accept them. If you do not, do not use the app.

2. Your account

You need an account to use TidyTake. Give an email address you control, keep access to it, and tell us if someone else gets into your account. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to a contract where you live.

One account is for one person. You may install the app on your own phones and tablets, but do not share credentials.

3. Subscription and payment

TidyTake is $14.99 per month or $99 per year in US dollars, with a seven-day free trial. Local prices are set by the store you buy through and may differ with tax.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. A trial converts to a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel before then.

Purchases made inside the app are billed by Apple or Google and governed by their terms as well as these. Purchases made on the web are billed by our payment provider.

4. Cancelling and refunds

Cancel any time. In-app purchases are cancelled in the App Store or Play Store subscription settings; web purchases from your account page. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not pro-rate a part-used period.

Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies; we cannot issue them. For a web subscription, write to support within 14 days of a charge and we will refund it.

5. What you may not do

Do not use TidyTake to make material that is unlawful, that impersonates a real person in a way meant to deceive, or that you have no right to publish.

Do not attempt to break, reverse engineer, or work around the limits of the service, resell it, or run it as a service for other people.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you first.

6. Your content

You keep every right in the video you film and export. Because the video never reaches our servers, we do not receive a licence to it and could not use it if we wanted to.

Transcript text and cut plans that you choose to sync are processed only to give you the service, as described in the privacy notice.

7. Our content

The app, the site, the name TidyTake and the marks on them are ours. Using the service does not transfer any of that to you.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service running but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted. Because the cut and the render happen on your phone, most of the app keeps working when our servers do not.

We may add, change or withdraw features. If we withdraw something you paid for and it materially reduces the service, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of the period.

9. No warranty

The service is provided as it is. We do not warrant that a cut will be the one you would have made, that transcription will be accurate, or that the app fits a particular purpose. Review every export before you publish it.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost footage, or indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, you keep your statutory rights.

11. Ending the agreement

You may stop using TidyTake and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may end the agreement with 30 days notice, or immediately if you seriously break these terms.

12. Changes to these terms

We will tell you in the app before a material change takes effect, and the date at the top will move. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
